Sifting through nearly 1800 posts to find the few that aren’t complaining about snow, rain or dogs causing me to trip while jogging is not something you probably want to do. I sure don’t.

So here are what I have arbitrarily deemed the most worthy of those hundreds of posts, divided into somewhat less arbitrary categories (not to be confused with the blog’s actual categories).

Learning to Swim (and failing)

In January 2009 I took swimming lessons. Good news: I didn’t drown. Bad news: I discovered I have aquaphobia or whatever you call fear of water.
