I decided to ditch the Gallery2 plugin for my photos as it was a bit bulky and I didn’t care much for the way it integrated into WordPress. I’m now using NextGEN Gallery which is simpler but for my needs is more than sufficient. All of the old photos have been moved to the new system and I should have a few new galleries up soon™.
