Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 23: Herbs

This was done again entirely using the 6B Pencil. At first, I was going to go total smart ass and just have the line of heads with herbs underneath them, then I decided to add a few edible herbs as well. I did elect to keep the human herbs black and white.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 22: Tea

The choice was tea or coffee. I started with a chalk pastel version of the world’s ugliest coffee mug, then started over with a nice cup of tea,

I used the 6B Pencil brush and did everything on one layer. The only time I erased something was when a line went off in some crazy direction. I kind of like the Picasso-esque cup design.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 21: Jam Jar

Since I’m still way behind on prompts, I’m continuing with my fast ‘n sloppy approach. Who knows what wacky results will be had? Actually, here’s one right now, for Jam Jar.

This was done almost exclusively using the Gesinski Ink brush in Procreate.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 20: Bread

[Loafing around joke here]

The perspective on this bread is a bit off and the background is uninteresting, though at least it’s not outer space.

I used the Bardot Brush gouache paint brushes for this.

Bread in a void. Slice and despair.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 18: Cereal and milk

For various unexciting reasons, I’ve fallen way behind on the prompts. Aaiiee and all that. I’m attempting to catch up, so some of the next batch of drawings may be a little rough around the edges.

First up: Cereal and milk. I started this as an experiment in perspective, then gave up and just put everything in space, where they may one day meet the pretzel I put there earlier.

The bowl looks more like a dog dish to me. Not that dogs wouldn’t eat cereal if given the chance.
