It almost looks edible. I used reference, but re-interpreted liberally.

I originally started with something stylized, then opted for full cartoon pizza.

I spent so much time on the paper cut effect, I kind of skimped on the actual smoothie. Oops.

I don’t know why, but a creature made of macaroni with a wedge of cheese for its head seemed like the right call for this one.

Whoops, fell behind a wee bit again. Here’s a glowing pretzel…in space!

I was originally going to do a sausage and egg muffin (mmm) but then I accidentally read some info about their nutrition level and felt bad, so I did a bowl of cereal instead. And made it pink, sugary cereal, with a Gum Gum Person in it, because why not?

I wanted to do a cartoon sandwich and for some reason ended up with this nightmare-inducing monstrosity. I like it!
Since I drew it face-on, it was a bit tricky to show what was on the sandwich (and wouldn’t everything slide out of its, er, butt, anyway?) so I might try a different approach if another sandwich-style prompt comes up.

A few days late due to acting out one of those gas/bloating/IBS TV ads in real life. Cramps all day and night are not fun!
Prompt #9 is CORN. You might think there is something Zen about drawing a million kernels of corn on a cob, but nope! I did get into the zone off and on while drawing them, though. It kind of hurts my eyes to stare at this.
This was 100% Dry Brush, save for the background.

Another repeat prompt, this time I decided to do three strawberries for three times the fun. Woo.

For my own reference: Shadows were done as follows:

You don’t really need reference for peas, so I winged it. And somehow decided they should be singing.

Yes, I chose a reference that did not look like a penis. I played around with getting the light on the eggplant for quite a while and still don’t like the way it turned out. I think I was trying too hard to mix a cartoon and realistic style, and the end result is kind of meh. If I did it again, I’d probably lean a lot more into the cartoon side of it. Or maybe just put googly eyes on it.
