Twenty-eight days later (!) I finally came up with something for the prompt BULKY and here it is! This leaves only THROW to complete the set and win the satisfaction of doing an entire month of doodles.

Inktober 2020 #31: Crawl
I decided to end on a cheeky note for CRAWL. I still have two prompts to finish that I missed–BULKY and THROW. I intend to post those soon.
Fun Fact: Of the 29 drawings (of what will soon be a total of 31), 15 feature Gum Gum People (hee hee, as they would say).
Inktober #30: Ominous
This one took way longer than it should have because I kept reworking the whole thing, adding stuff, removing it, putting it back. And then I forgot to add stars to the sky, but it probably works better without them, anyway. Serendipity!
Inktober 2020 #29: Shoes
These are fancy shoes. The reference had laces, I decided to go with Velcro straps.
Inktober 2020 #28: Float
I was eating too many brownies and forgot to post the last batch of prompts. Here’s the first of the last four, FLOAT. I was going for two things here: quick and simple. Success!
Inktober 2020 #27: Music
Yes, I forgot the shoulder strap. But technically you can still play without one!
Inktober 2020: Hide
An unprecedented two drawings in one day! Still more Gum Gum People!
Inktober 2020 #24: Buddy
I am a full day late with this one, as I was feeling off last night and did not doodle. This shows my continuing obsession with Gum Gum People and their obsession with bananas.
Inktober 2020 #24: Dig
Technically I started this on time, but finished after midnight. I continue to move away from the pure black ink line art approach that Inktober exemplifies but I’m still not actually cheating, as I’m sticking to ink brushes. The ones used for this prompt were:
- studio pen
- brush pen
- dry ink
- marker
- one other whose name I forget and will edit in later
I am not crazy about how the dirt turned out. Dirt is hard.
Inktober 2020 #23: Rip
Drawing a rip in space turned out to be a lot trickier than I thought.
This was also a good exercise in practicing certain techniques, such as the very long strokes needed to get the starry backdrop to look right.
Imagine there is a Gum Gum Person somewhere in there.
Inktober #22: Chef
This was inevitable.
Don’t ask what’s in the bowl.
Inktober #21: Sleep
I came up with this and it turned out pretty much the way I imagined it, which is always a nice trick.
