Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 22: Tea

The choice was tea or coffee. I started with a chalk pastel version of the world’s ugliest coffee mug, then started over with a nice cup of tea,

I used the 6B Pencil brush and did everything on one layer. The only time I erased something was when a line went off in some crazy direction. I kind of like the Picasso-esque cup design.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 21: Jam Jar

Since I’m still way behind on prompts, I’m continuing with my fast ‘n sloppy approach. Who knows what wacky results will be had? Actually, here’s one right now, for Jam Jar.

This was done almost exclusively using the Gesinski Ink brush in Procreate.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 20: Bread

[Loafing around joke here]

The perspective on this bread is a bit off and the background is uninteresting, though at least it’s not outer space.

I used the Bardot Brush gouache paint brushes for this.

Bread in a void. Slice and despair.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 19: Cheese

I tried two other drawings before settling on this one.

Is the rat holding the cheese balls like pom poms? Is he just that hungry that he’s going to attempt to stuff both in his mouth? I do not know,

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 18: Cereal and milk

For various unexciting reasons, I’ve fallen way behind on the prompts. Aaiiee and all that. I’m attempting to catch up, so some of the next batch of drawings may be a little rough around the edges.

First up: Cereal and milk. I started this as an experiment in perspective, then gave up and just put everything in space, where they may one day meet the pretzel I put there earlier.

The bowl looks more like a dog dish to me. Not that dogs wouldn’t eat cereal if given the chance.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 17: Pasta

Flying Spaghetti Monster. Eating it is a religious experience.

I would completely redo my approach to this if I tried again. Live and learn, as they say.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 13: Mac and cheese

I don’t know why, but a creature made of macaroni with a wedge of cheese for its head seemed like the right call for this one.

Making Art Everyday 2022 No. 11: Breakfast food

I was originally going to do a sausage and egg muffin (mmm) but then I accidentally read some info about their nutrition level and felt bad, so I did a bowl of cereal instead. And made it pink, sugary cereal, with a Gum Gum Person in it, because why not?
