Okay, it’s really just a sewer cover near Sapperton Landing. I took a photo of it looking straight down, cropped out my feet, then ran it through Luminar AI to bring out the detail. I like the way it turned out!

Photos I’ve taken of scenery, interesting objects and other things.
After dinner, I went out for a walk to the park with my camera, hoping to catch some birds on digital film. Here is what I got:
I thought of shooting a pic of a crow at one point, but even it flew away, too.
So instead I got this shot of a neighborhood cat snoozing on the front steps of its home:

I’m not sure if I’ll be going out again today, so I wanted to take a photo of something because taking a photo every day is on my to-do list.
What I did was:
I leave it to you, the reader, to interpret what this means, if anything. I got nothin’!

It was a perfect summer afternoon (rather than 32C) so I spent an hour or so strolling the path around Sapperton Landing and environs. Here are a few shots.

It’s the new board game sensation!
Not really, I just have pictures of a garter snake (that I saw on the trail post-run yesterday) and some white flowers in a yard on Fader Street.
The snake was completely indifferent to my presence, so I was able to get in close for a good shot (this one is cropped, I didn’t get that close).

The flowers were not going to slither away, so I got even closer to them.

In which the weather, which called for light showers, turned out to remain dry and the sun even came out for a bit. Nice!
Here are a few pics from the day.

This sandhill crane was maybe getting territorial when some geese got too close, and started freaking out a bit and doing a funky dance.

Baby duck being adorably cute.

A rare turtle sighting. It then had the clever idea to climb over the log and promptly flipped itself upside down. Nic turned it right side up, and it made it safely into the water.

My first shot of an American goldfinch.

My first shot of the elusive marsh wren.
