Featuring a gum gum person just because.
drawing trouble
Inktober 2019 #16: Wild
I ended up with a vast chunk of white in the foreground. This is why they invented cropping.
Inktober 2019 #15: Legend
I tried two other versions of this before (mostly) playing it straight.
Inktober 2019 #14: Overgrown
My initial idea was someone too big, then a giant plant shooting through a house. I finally decided, for reasons unknown, to draw an octopus in an aquarium. After getting the idea, my next goal was to do the sketch as quickly as possible, leaving in the myriad imperfections instead of spending an extra hour fixing them. I don’t think the final result is any worse for the decision.
Inktober 2019 #13: Ash
The volcano looks like it’s been painted, rather than covered with ash, but it’s an ash-like color, at least!
Inktober 2019 #12: Dragon
Made only using a tiny bit of reference (for the dragon and the hydrant, actually). The wings were difficult. Dragons shouldn’t have wings, I say.
Inktober 2019 #11: Snow
In which Angry Carrot declares innocence at the scene of the crime.
Inktober 2019 #10: Pattern
Or for pedants, patterns. This is very unoriginal and took a surprisingly long time to cobble together (I scrapped and redrew several of the patterns).
Inktober 2019 #9: Swing
Featuring the evil rutabaga known as Lenny that was part of my Angry Carrot comic.
Inktober 2019 #8: Frail
The egg was strangely difficult to draw.
Inktober 2019 #7: Enchanted
Probably more accurate to call this one Cursed, really. I did reference a photo of a frog for this because otherwise my frog would have looked like a blob with sticks. I probably could have still managed the crown, though.
Inktober 2019 #6: Husky
I tried to draw the dog version of husky and my hands and brain were both, “No, you need years more of practice before you can do this” so I drew a big husky guy with weird-looking legs instead.
